Orange Moscow Mule Cocktail

This Orange Moscow Mule Mocktail is delicious and perfect when you want an alcohol-free cocktail for adults.

Orange Moscow Mule Cocktail

A Moscow mule is a cocktail traditionally made from vodka and flavorful ginger beer and served in a copper mug that takes on the cold temperature of the liquid. It is delicious and easy to make a cocktail as you don’t really taste the vodka. Here I used Cara Cara oranges from California instead of lime because they are in season and so delicious !! They turned out wonderful – I drank them all month!

Does anyone have a dry challenge? I love my cocktails, but I also love taking a break from time to time. It can be difficult to find non-alcoholic cocktails that have complex flavors and feel mature. That’s why I love these Orange Moscow Mules, the flavorful ginger beer adds the zing you normally get and since vodka is tasteless you really don’t miss it. Best of all, no hangover the next day!

And if you’re like me and often forget to have your serving of fruit every day, this cocktail is perfect as a single Cara Cara orange contains 100% of the daily recommended amount of vitamin C.

Cara Cara oranges from California

Cara Cara oranges have an exceptionally sweet taste and a wonderful tropical aroma. While they look like classic umbilical oranges on the outside, they’re a little less acidic and their seedless inside is a rich pink hue due to the natural presence of the antioxidant lycopene. Not only are Cara Cara oranges from California a deliciously sweet addition to any recipe, they also add a gorgeous, bold pink hue when sliced ‚Äč‚Äčinto a salad or freshly squeezed into a cocktail. This outstanding orange is in the December to May season.

What to look for when buying and storing oranges

When buying Cara Cara oranges or citrus fruits, choose fruits that smell fresh and feel heavy for their size. That’s a sure sign that it’s going to be juicy! Leftovers or cut oranges should be refrigerated within 2 hours. Keep your citrus fruits fresh longer – up to three weeks – by storing them in the refrigerator at a temperature below 42 degrees.

Why do I like to go dry for a month?

I don’t want the empty calories. I sleep so much better. No hangover the next day, which means more energy to exercise. Save money

That being said, if you want a cocktail I won’t judge! You can add 1 to 2 ounces of vodka to this drink. I will be sharing more cocktail recipes here. If you have any inquiries please let me know in the comments! Check out this Spicy Zero Proof Palomas that I shared last week.
